Thankfully, Gillian Gibbons, the British school teacher in Sudan convicted of insulting Islam by allowing her 7 year-old students name a Teddy Bear Muhammad, has been released. She was pardoned by the government, considering the fact that she has been in prison since November 25. She must now leave Sudan. Reading this article leaves one with the impression that she actually did something wrong. If not her, then the Sudanese. Islam, you will notice, is without blame. The “fringe” element who rioted are barely mentioned, but I can’t help but be amazed that a woman has spent time in prison and now must leave her country of residence because she allowed a 7 year-old to name a Teddy Bear Muhammad. Then, rioting took place when she was only sentenced to 15 days in jail. Is that not wildly wrong & ridiculously intolerant?
