Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo of Barnabas Fund was recently interviewed concerning the differences between Islam and Christianity. I have read his work and have often been challenged (particularly in my Americanism; he is British). He has much firsthand knowledge of Islam. When asked for an example of how Islam differs from Christianity, Dr. Sookhdeo responded by stating that Islam doesn’t allow converts to change their minds. Islam is the religious equivalent to Hotel California: you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. (Of course, being British, he did not use the Hotel California reference, but I think it helps to make his point.) You can read the interview here.
