For those of you who know our family, you surely know our dog Belle. More than a family dog, Belle was always sort of a community dog. We didn’t have to feed her. She was fed by the Greschels, by the Mathenys, and she always knew when there was a fellowship dinner. Her spot was just outside the back door where various folks would bow down to her with various food offerings. She was a family dog, an office dog, a church dog, and a community dog. But now she is gone. The vet has no idea what happened to Belle. In a matter of days, she went blind, got very sick, and died last night in her sleep in our garage. Along with many others around Cedar Grove, we will surely miss Belle.
